Romance, for two

Honeymoons

The most romantic stays we know: water villas in the Maldives, honeymoon tents in the Maasai Mara, a hot spring pool below Arenal and a suite that looks onto the Duomo.

The idea

Honeymoons

A honeymoon asks for something an ordinary holiday does not: privacy without isolation, service that anticipates rather than intrudes, and a setting you will still describe to each other years from now. This collection gathers the stays that do this best, from villas over the lagoon and island cays to tented camps, rainforest hot springs and a rooftop above Florence.

Many of the honeymoons we plan pair two places, a safari camp before the sea or Florence before the Tuscan hills, so the journey has a beginning and an arrival. We hold the villa, the transfers and the private dinners as one plan, and confirm every detail with each house for your dates.

Season decides much of the choice. The Maldives and Cayo Espanto are at their clearest from December to April, while Fiji’s drier months run from May to October, which makes the Pacific a natural answer to a northern summer wedding.

If the celebration itself is still ahead, our Weddings & Celebrations collection gathers the houses that host weddings, vow renewals and milestone parties. For villas built over the water, continue to Overwater & Lagoon.

Traveler questions

Before you choose

  • How long should a honeymoon be? Ten nights to two weeks lets two places breathe without a day lost to travel. With a week, we suggest one house rather than two.
  • Can we pair safari and the sea? Yes. A tented camp in the Maasai Mara or a home at Tswalu, followed by water villas or an island, gives the journey two registers: the wild first, then the sea.
  • Which of these stays are for adults only? Villa Gran Sogno is for adults only. Amor Arenal welcomes guests aged thirteen and over and The Lindis twelve and over, and at Nayara Tented Camp the adults only Nayara Springs and Nayara Gardens share the reserve.
  • When should we travel? The Maldives and Cayo Espanto are clearest from December to April, and Fiji’s drier months run from May to October. Tell us your wedding date and we will match the house to the season.
