Weddings, vows & milestones

Weddings & Celebrations

Weddings, vow renewals, milestones, reunions and retreats at the houses we know best: a forest wedding in Phuket, a Tuscan hamlet, a lodge beneath the aurora, or an island with no other guests.

The idea

Weddings & Celebrations

A great celebration is remembered for its setting long before its menu. This collection gathers the houses where a wedding, a vow renewal, an anniversary, a milestone birthday, a family reunion or a private retreat can be staged with real ambition: vows in a rainforest pavilion or beneath the northern lights, dinner on a terrace above the sea, a Tuscan estate or a lakeside villa reserved for the whole party, and, for a few, an island with no other guests at all.

We begin with the brief rather than the venue: how many guests, how many nights, and whether the week should belong to the two of you or to everyone you love. Some of these houses host weddings within the resort, others are reserved in their entirety, and a handful close to everyone else for your dates. Guest numbers, ceremony settings and exclusive use are confirmed with each house before anything is promised.

Season shapes a celebration more than any other journey. Cayo Espanto and the Maldives are at their clearest from December to April, Fiji’s drier months run from May to October, and holiday weeks are held first everywhere, because a whole house or an island is counted in single weeks rather than rooms.

For the journey afterwards, our Honeymoons collection gathers the most romantic stays we know. For islands held by a single house, continue to Private Islands, and for villas and estates that keep a whole family under one roof, to Houses for Generations.

Traveler questions

Before you choose

  • Can we reserve a whole island? For some celebrations, yes. Islas Secas in Panama can be reserved in full, Elang at Bawah Reserve is taken as a whole, and the Private Island at Cheval Blanc Randheli is an island of its own within the Maison. Many occasions need far less: a villa, a lodge or a wedding within the resort. Guest numbers and minimum stays are confirmed with each house for your dates.
  • Do we need exclusive use for a wedding? Not always. Keemala, Amor Arenal and The Vines host weddings within the resort, and Borgo Pignano reserves single villas such as Il Poggio for an intimate wedding. Exclusive use matters most when the guest list fills the house.
  • How far ahead should we begin? As early as you can. A whole house or an island is counted in single weeks and holiday weeks are held first, so a year ahead is a comfortable start.
  • Will a ceremony abroad be legally recognised? It depends on the country. Some couples hold a civil ceremony at home and celebrate abroad, others marry where they celebrate. We confirm local requirements with each house before anything is planned.
