Kadavu is an island group in Fiji where the Great Astrolabe Reef, one of the largest and least touched reef systems in the world, runs for more than a hundred kilometres. Its water holds hard coral gardens, turtles and reef sharks, and from April to September reef manta rays gather at their cleaning stations. Inland, Kadavu is rich in flora and fauna, with waterfalls reached on foot, and the villages still open a visit with a traditional welcome ceremony.
On the north-east of the group, Kokomo Private Island keeps twenty-one beachfront villas and five hilltop Residences, with access to both sides of the reef and more than thirty dive and snorkel sites. It is the house we would choose here.
