Our stay here is Aman New York, in the landmark Crown Building at Fifth Avenue and 57th Street. Suites are large by city standards, with deep baths and quiet rooms high above the avenue. The spa, with its indoor pool, spans several floors, and the Jazz Club below keeps the evenings close to home.

JFK, Newark and LaGuardia all serve the city, with a car into Midtown taking roughly thirty minutes to over an hour depending on airport and traffic. Private aircraft usually land at Teterboro.
