Ninh Thuan is Vietnam’s driest coast: granite headlands, vineyards and salt fields under a wide sky, with the mountains of Nui Chua National Park falling straight into the sea. It feels far from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and much of the shore is still undeveloped.
Our stay here is Amanoi, set within the national park above Vinh Hy Bay. Pavilions look over the bay or into the forest, and the larger residences have their own pools, which makes them a natural fit for families and friends travelling together. Below, a beach club keeps the sand in reach, and the spa gives the afternoons their shape.
Amanoi suits couples who want a beach week without a busy strip, families who want room, and travelers ending a longer Vietnam journey with real rest. Further north, across the water from Nha Trang, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay shares the same airport, so the two combine easily; see Ninh Van Bay.
Amanoi is part of our Island Sanctuaries collection. Our Vietnam guide covers the country, and Siem Reap or Luang Prabang add temples to the same trip.
Ninh Thuan is one chapter of our Southeast Asia guide, which sets Vietnam’s coast beside Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and the Philippines.
