Eight nights in Japan

Japan Rituals, eight nights

Tokyo, Kyoto, and Ise-Shima: Aman Tokyo, Aman Kyoto, and Amanemu sequenced as one week of ritual rather than a checklist, held by your dedicated advisor.

The week

Japan Rituals, eight nights

8 nights Tokyo · Kyoto · Ise-Shima Private transfers

Eight nights across Japan held as one continuous stay: two in Tokyo for the city’s private hours, three in a Kyoto forest pavilion, and three in an Ise-Shima onsen valley that is not a day-trip. Transfers are written into the week. Your advisor remains with the itinerary from the first conversation through the flight home.

The stays are three Aman houses: Aman Tokyo, Aman Kyoto, and Amanemu. We keep the list short on purpose; additional Japan houses remain available by conversation when the week asks for them.

The three houses are gathered in our Japan Rituals collection, and our Japan guide covers the country.

Itinerary

Eight nights, written as one stay

Days are held by your advisor: a city house with a view that holds, a forest temple morning, and an onsen valley that is not a day-trip.

Nights 1 and 2: Aman Tokyo

Arrive into Otemachi with bags already upstairs. The first evening is kept deliberately short: a quiet table, a walk that ends at the Imperial Palace moat rather than a checklist, and rest in a room that holds the city without shouting it. Your advisor confirms the floor and the hour: museums and introductions begin when you are ready, not the minute you land.

Stay Aman Tokyo

Night 3: Tokyo by day, Aman Kyoto by night

One private hour before the city fully wakes, then a lunch that does not need a reservation app. The afternoon is left open so Tokyo can arrive at its own pace. Packing is deliberate. Evening transfer toward Kyoto is timed for arrival after dusk, and the first of three Kyoto nights begins at the forest house, met in the dark, not in a rush.

Stay Aman Kyoto

Nights 4 and 5: Aman Kyoto

A forest pavilion when the city should fall away: temple morning, garden light, and a suite that behaves like a house rather than a corridor. One experience is held by appointment, a temple visit or a quiet introduction, and the rest of the day is left unforced. Your advisor already knows which wing and which hour suit the season.

Stay Aman Kyoto

Night 6: The road to Ise-Shima, first night at Amanemu

A morning that does not rush the bags. The road toward Ise-Shima is written as part of the week, not a dead transfer: a lunch stop chosen because the cook still opens the door, then arrival at Amanemu before the onsen light turns gold. No forced sightseeing circuit between Kyoto and the valley.

Stay Amanemu

Nights 7 and 8: Amanemu, continued

Onsen valley and slow water. Two more nights here, three in all, close the week on purpose: heat, quiet, and a dining room that does not require a spectacle. The final morning is held without theatre: bags down, a last look at the valley, and the drive toward the airport timed to the flight you actually have. Additional Japan houses remain available by conversation when the week asks for a coda.
