Capri has two faces. Down by the water are the Piazzetta, the marinas and the boats; up on the island’s western heights is Anacapri, greener and quieter, where lanes run between lemon gardens and the evening light falls late across the sea. Villa Giada belongs to the second Capri. It stands in Parco Silvania, a residential enclave of Anacapri, in more than a thousand square meters of garden, with olive trees, umbrella pines and the Tyrrhenian in view.
The house measures some 400 square meters over two floors, recently renovated and entirely white: arches, vaults, terraces and marble, opened to the garden by tall windows. The master suite takes a floor of its own, built into the exposed volcanic rock of the hillside, with a wood-burning fireplace and a bath set against the stone. Above it, three further suites, a dining room and a sea-view living room look out over the garden.
Days turn around the pool, set with a diving board on a wide sun terrace, and around the long table outside, where dinner is served as the sun goes down. An Italian chef cooks in the house from a garden of lemon trees, tomatoes and herbs, while a butler and a concierge on hand around the clock arrange the boat, the table at lunch and the car to the Piazzetta.
Your Exclusive Villa Collection advisor arranges the stay directly with the house, usually for a family or a group of friends of up to eight in the four suites, or up to ten when the Dependance is added on request, and shapes the arrival, the days on the water and the evenings in town around the week you want.
